The Graham Norton Show with David Tenninch

Guests include Johnny Vegas and Allison Moyet. David unveils a new clip from Waters of Mars and talks about "Rex Is Not Your Lawyer." Hilarious episode. I think I definitely prefer David as himself than as The Doctor, if that makes sense.

Davina Tennant's Last Words as The Doctor

  • Nov. 11th, 2009 at 5:43 PM

this picture is totally irrelevant but...c'mon.

THE NEXT Doctor Who special, The Waters of Mars, airs on BBC1 this Sunday as we head towards David Tennant's dramatic regeneration into the 11th Time Lord, Matt Smith.
That will happen in The End of Time, Tennant's final adventure in the role. It's in two parts, the first on December 25, the second on or around New Year's Day.
But Tennant says shooting his final scenes as the Time Lord weren't as emotional as he'd expected.
Due to his various appearances being filmed out of sequence from their TV transmission, Tennant's last day as the Doctor was actually spent on the set of the spin-off series, The Sarah Jane Adventures, which has already been broadcast.
"The last line I said as the Doctor is half-way through an episode and it's: 'You two, with me, spit spot'.
"They were the last words I uttered in the suit, so I guess it was robbed of any epic quality!" says Tennant, laughing.
"That was probably best because it was very emotional saying cheerio and filming the very, very final scene was very sad.
"If the scene had coincided with the actual final day, I'd have been in trouble. I was in a bit of trouble as it was, but I was all right, I kept a mildly stiff upper lip!"
After the last Doctor Who special, Tennant will next be seen making his US TV debut in a new hour-long comedy pilot. The 38-year-old star has been cast as the title character in NBC's Rex Is Not Your Lawyer.
The project centres on a top Chicago lawyer who starts suffering from panic attacks and eventually coaches his clients to represent themselves in court. The comedic drama will be directed by David Semel, who previously helmed the pilots of Heroes and Life.

Tennant's casting bears similarities to the hiring of Hugh Laurie - another established British TV actor with virtually no American TV experience - as the lead on the Fox medical drama House.

Michelle Obama’s vegetable garden is about to become a culinary battlefield.

The Food Network announced Wednesday that an episode of “Iron Chef America” will be taped at the White House featuring Mario Batali, Bobby Flay and Emeril Lagasse. The three chefs, joined by White House chef Cristeta Comerford, will be welcomed by the first lady and allowed to use anything found in the garden to help create their meals.

The competition will then move back to the network’s Kitchen Stadium in New York, where Flay and Comerford will face-off against Batali and Lagasse to produce five dishes showcasing the ingredients.

The judges will include chef Nigella Lawson, Olympic gold medalist Natalie Coughlin, and actress Jane Seymour.

The episode airs Jan. 3, 2010.

When General Hospital announced that James Franco would be joining the soap opera for a lengthy story arc, pop culture pundits couldn’t fathom the movie star’s motivation. Over here at Movieline, though, we sensed the guiding hand of Carter, Franco’s frequent artistic collaborator. The two men have embarked on a wide variety of art projects that play with and deconstruct Franco’s image, including a VMan photo shoot that handed the actor a flamethrower and covered his face in shaving cream, and Erased James Franco, a 63-minute film (playing November 15 at the Castro Theater in San Francisco) that finds Franco idiosyncratically recreating Rock Hudson from Seconds and Julianne Moore from Safe, as well as some of his own lesser roles.

Crazy Lady vs. Chris Brown

As Chris Brown left Footaction last night in Times Square, he caught an earful from “some drunk woman”. Perhaps he should’ve brought her back to the crib. On second thought, maybe not.

Wynonna Retracts her Taylor Swift Diss

  • Nov. 12th, 2009 at 5:45 PM

Per her official website:

"I understand that my comment about Taylor Swift’s Entertainer of the Year nomination came across as a negative statement. My intent was not to take anything away from her talent and contributions to the country music industry...all of which are truly unprecedented for an artist of ANY age. Taylor is a beautiful, hard working young woman that deserves the success she has had and I support her as an artist and as a woman in the business. "

Btw for those who missed it, this is what Wynonna said:

"You want my honest comment? It’s too much too soon. Time is God’s way of keeping everything from happening at once. It’s just too much of a good thing too soon. My thing is, being a home-school mom, I want kids to earn it, and I think some time … ’cause mom and I rode in a car for the first year of our career to visit radio stations. There was a making of the star, there was a rising up, and the fans went with us. Now it’s over coffee breaks, the success, almost. You have to play catch up … It's like the girl who wins an Oscar and she's under 20. What do you do from here?"

This looks like every other romantic comedy ever made, but I'm such a sucker for this type of shit that I'll be there regardless.

The voice of Dr. Venture on Adult Swim's "Venture Bros." sits down with comic Sara Benincasa in his kids' bathtub. Magic ensues.

I love him long time and we could totally call this a Venture Bros post.
